curry quickie

Those veggie beef grounds look so real! Sauté with minced garlic, salt and pepper.

The rice noodles literally cook in one minutes in boiling water, sauté your favorite veggies and some onion, peppers, seaweed and sprouts. I added curry powder and garam masala. I had 15 minutes to make this because we were in a rush but it turned out super tasty.

The ingredients were also pretty cheap:

Noodles 69 cents
Seaweed $1.something
Onion 89 cents

(I got most of it at the oriental market)

Yummy lunch today!

Black Mambo

No matter what race, ethnicity, tribe, cult, planet, religion, species, or whatever; this body wash will make you feel something amazing.

I love everything about it from the beginning of this experience to the end. The way it lathers, the scent, the feel, the perfect gentle/ not-too-scrapey scrub type feel. It’s just perfect. Also, it leaves you feeling clean without wondering if there’s random harsh chemicals attacking your cute little microscopic cells throughout the day. Thanks Shea Moisture. Thanks.

I cannot tell a lie.

Try it for yourself.
Go now! Run… No, sprint actually. Sprint barefoot to the nearest target or Walmart and buy some. Rescue yourself from the usual mundane shower experience. CHANGE YOUR LIFE.

Okay, I’m being a bit dramatic but I just had two espressos.

My Guac Glock.

So what does one do when you have avocados but not the all the traditional guacamole ingredients? Well, I don’t know what you would do but I’m a frugal hangry lady sometimes and I just want food. Simplify and improvise!

I cut the corn off the cob from my dinner leftovers (that probably would have been long forgotten about and then sadly thrown away) and chopped up some onions, garlic and tomato. Added squeezed lemon and salt (like a little over a tsp) and then stirred vigorously, motivated by hunger lol

It was super nom-nomable and I ate it with some gluten free sea salt crackers.

andddd sipped on my synergy kombucha tea drink. Yay!

Happy Friday!

Chemical Catastrophe

So I’m on my second natural hair journey. I bleached all my curly natural hair a few months ago and it was such a fail. I ended up having to cut off all of the ridiculously damaged hair I had left (it was breaking off tremendously with no hope of nursing it back to life) and I decided to start fresh. Word to the not-so-wise, don’t bleach your hair more than once in a month or get it done professionally. The damage just isn’t worth it.

Although it did look pretty freakin awesome. My Mom called me boy george lol peep the pic below

serious consideration. How much housing space is actually necessary when you have the entire world to explore?

Say what?!

I’m so late on seeing this but the conspiracy allusions are interesting!

Chipotle Clone Fajita Drone (vegan, gluten free)

– 4 cups brown rice
– I package of tofu
– 1 can sweet corn
– 1 can black beans
– 1/2 medium green bell pepper
– 2 haas avocados
– 1 small jalapeño
– 1/2 cup diced onion
– 1/8 cup orange juice (I use Uncle matts!)
– 1/4 cup minced garlic
– salt and pepper (optional: adobo, paprika, adobo, bay leaf, cumin, fajita seasoning
– 1 lemon
– 1 lime
– coconut oil
– Optional: gluten free tortilla wraps/ tortilla chips
{* keep in mind these are merely approximations, you may use more of less. Also feel free to improvise, you don’t need every little thing for it to taste great! Get creative!}

1. Brown rice: bring rice and water to a boil (1:2 ratio/rice:water) and reduce to low/medium heat covered for 35 minutes
2. Drain tofu and press dry with paper towel. Cube the tofu and season in a bowl to preference (I put 1/8 cup of orange juice, 1/8 cup minced garlic, onion powder, 3/4 tbs salt, pepper, paprika, garam masala, adobo). Mix well. Cook in skillet with 3/4 tbs of coconut oil (or any oil really)

3. Slice bell peppers and sauté with coconut oil (brown on edges when done) then season with oregano (finely chopped), black pepper, and a pinch of salt

4. Rice should be done (You’ll see holes in it). Squeeze half a lemon into the rice, 3/4 tbs of salt and 1 tbs of olive oil. Stir and then spread out on to a pan to cool and place in the freezer for 5 min (If you have more time just cool it in the fridge for 25 minutes in a bowl) *dont skip this step or when you add the cilantro it will not taste as fresh and can burn from the heat of the rice
5. Corn salsa: Add corn, 1/8 cup of cilantro, 1 small jalapeño diced, 1/8 cup of diced onion, half squeezed lime and 1/2 a squeezed lemon and a couple pinches of salt. Mix thoroughly.
6. Get the rice out of freezer and back in the pot and add 1/4 – 1/2 cup of chopped cilantro. Mix.

7. Black beans: Empty contents into pot over medium heat. Season with bay leaf, cumin, 1/2 squeezed lemon and 1/2 squeezed lime, oregano, salt, pepper and fajita seasoning.

8. Guacamole! (Add ingredients to preference) Peel and mush two haas avocados, 1/4 of a diced tomato, minced garlic, onion, lemon, lime, jalapeño, cilantro and salt
9. Make your bowl and devour! Optional: line bowl with gluten free tortilla (heat tortilla on each side in a skillet on medium/high heat for 30 second on each side)
